Building Kentucky's Middle Class On Labor Day
OWENSBORO - A patriotic Labor Day picnic was held Monday, with American middle class jobs as the primary talking point, at the Owensboro Area Central Labor Council annual event.

Labor Day Campers Enjoyed Inexpensive Weekend
HENDERSON CO., KY - Audubon State Park said they didn't have a single open campsite this weekend. Officials said more than 400 campers visited the park for Labor Day.  NEWS 25 learned why so many people are choosing to keep their vacations close to home.

River House Liquidation Sale Starts Tuesday
EVANSVILLE - Property Manager Kim Esarey told us the hotel's beds, desks and other furniture would be sold during a liquidation sale starting Tuesday. She said the building would be open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day through Sunday, September 12th.

Boil Advisory Issued for Boonville, IN
WARRICK CO., IN - Veolia Water said a nearly 50-year-old water main near Boonville City Lake broke around 5:00 p.m. Sunday, leaving many residents with low water pressure.  All Boonville residents are asked to boil their water for three minutes before using it.

Henderson Teen Injured in Roll Over Accident
HENDERSON CO., KY - The Henderson County Sheriff's Office said the 16-year-old was headed west on Anthoston Frog Island Road just before noon Sunday when her vehicle went off the road and hit a concrete drainage tile.

Obama Calling for More Infrastructure Spending
MILWAUKEE - President Barack Obama is traveling to Milwaukee to roll out an economic proposal meant to help rev up the economy. Obama is expected to call for long-term investments in the nation's roads, railways and runways that would cost at least $50 billion.

New Online University Enrolls 500 Hoosier Students
INDIANAPOLIS - WGU Indiana is a branch of Western Governors University, a private, nonprofit university designed for working adults trying to earn bachelor's or master's degrees. WGU Indiana had about 500 students on Sept. 1, compared with about 275 students on June 1.
