Oct. 12, 1948 WOMI Radio New tower at 427 feet is constructed; 82 foot FM antenna rides atop
Nov. 28, 1950 Edith Bennett Managed the 5 – 9:30 am Sunday shift. Her first job at WOMI
Feb. 28, 1951 Horace Heidt Parade of Stars Brings his nationally broadcast show live to Owensboro.
June 17, 1953 Cliffordean Potter Is first woman to speak to a program organized by Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), at Seelbach Hotel in Louisville.
